Lions in Sight has been designated as the official Eyeglass Recycle Center for the Western United States by Lions Clubs International. It was endorsed by Multiple District Four in 1991. Lions in Sight is a nonprofit 501(c)(3).
The three charter objectives are:
- To serve as Lions Clubs International Eyeglass Recycling Center for the western United States.
- To provide clinic trips to developing countries; to prescribe and distribute recycled eyeglasses to those in need.
- To provide used eyeglasses to Lions Clubs worldwide and ensure the eyeglasses are appropriately prescribed and distributed.
District Eyeglass Collection Procedures:
To send glasses and sunglasses directly to Lions in Sight:
- Pack securely in an apple box or other container
- NO eyeglass cases or loose lenses
- Indicate Club’s name and number of eyeglasses
- Send to:

To have glasses picked up at a location:
- Contact David Thompson at 209-482-3697 or
- Contact Xena Ferrario at 209-456-7902
- Bring the glasses to a District Meeting
- Give to a Zone Chair, Vice District Governor, District Governor
- Report your donation in Lion Portal for service credit
